L'architecture intérieure de style Louis XVI développe un programme de décoration très prisée à cette époque. Aussi, guirlandes végétales, fleurs, rubans plissés posés sur lambris façonnés se dévoilent.
Pièce remarquable, richement décorée, le salon italien déploie son faste sur deux niveaux et accueille des sculptures de Joseph Chinard.
Ce château construit en centre ville accueille des expositions temporaires et est un lieu d'actions culturelles: concerts, théâtre, conférences.
